Check-up
An instrument check-up addresses problems an instrument has and replaces the most worn parts. It includes the following procedures:

1. Pads and body checked for leaks - (Cracks will be repaired and bad pads replaced)
2. The Instrument properly adjusted
3. Key play removed
4. Tone holes inspected for cracks, dirt and defects.
5. Tenon joints replaced if necessary
6. Wood inspected
7. Spring tension adjusted
8. Key openings and ring heights adjusted

A qualified estimate can first be done after we have seen the instrument for evaluation. The same applies to the estimated duration of the repair.

Appointment Request

To reduce unnecessary waiting time, an appointment is highly recommended.

Spare Instrument

If a spare instrument is needed one can either be borrowed or rented, depending on duration and availability. Shipping costs will have to be paid by the customer.

Service charge

The charges will be based on our hourly rates. An unwritten appraisal is free of charge. A written one will cost 20% of the estimated cost if no repair is ordered. If the estimated cost for the repair is accepted, the cost for the estimate will be credited towards your total.
