We offer 3 different types of lacquer.

1. Corrosion Protection
For copper-plated or brass instrument parts, a clear coat is recommended to protect against corrosion. Without a protective coating, the corresponding part would inevitably appear matte and glossy after a short time.

First all pads and bumpers are removed. After that, polishing with mechanical and ultrasonic cleaning is necessary. The part can then be degreased and lacquered. Finally, to increase the strength, it is oven-dried, re-padded, and assembled. You can choose between cellulose and multi-component Lacquer for metal parts.

Allergy protection lacquering
For instrument parts that are nickel-plated or chrome-plated, the coating primarily serves to protect the player from allergies. Red more
The process corresponds to the corrosion protection mentioned above.
For the allergy protection, it is not absolutely necessary to paint the entire instrument. It can be limited to the parts which will be touched.

Retaining Value
To preserve the value and aesthetics of an instrument complete restorations of saxophones or bassoons are often useful. Like galvanic surface treatment, lacquering can also have an impact on the sound. Red more

The lacquering of metal parts corresponds to the corrosion protection described above.

The lacquering of bassoons, on the other hand, is much more complex and time-consuming. Depending on the make and musician's wishes, complete shellac polishing can also be carried out.
