Melissa Johnson Lander is our newest addition to the team as our Office and Tour Manager. Melissa is clarinetist and Executive Director of the National Chamber Winds and is an active freelancer in the Baltimore/D.C. area. Previously she served as soloist and co-principal clarinetist of the U.S. Army Field Band and Executive Director and Clarinetist with Symphony Number One. Melissa holds clarinet performance degrees from the Eastman School of Music, the University of Michigan, and Interlochen Arts Academy, and is currently finishing 2 Graduate Performance Diplomas in clarinet and chamber music from Peabody Conservatory, where she received the 2016 Grace Glagett Raney Prize for exceptional chamber music accomplishment. Melissa also runs a private studio from her home in Ellicott City, MD. Her husband, 3 children and dachshund keep her on her toes. You can find her on Instagram @clarinetlander.
