Martin Gruenewald studied with the German saxophone manufacturer Julius Keilwerth in Nauheim, Germany, where he received his master's diploma.
Martin was responsible for the production of various special models such as soprano to bass, including the legendary straight alto and tenor saxophones. He also developed and built a Sopralto, a Sopran and Altosax combined in one single instrument, as well as a Tenor to low A. .
Since 1988 he does most of the saxophone repairs for Lohff & Pfeiffer.
