Reed cases

Reed cases are available in many sizes and varieties. Cases with a humidifier tend to keep the reed in good shape for a long time since the humidity level is more constant, and the reed is not allowed to dry out as much and as quickly. A wooden box or cigar box with a small container for water or a damp sponge can also work very well provided, of course, that the humidification system is renewed as needed. The surface on which the reed is laying should be cleaned with alcohol from time to time.
When you fly or have to play at high altitude, the reeds will quickly dry out. Reed cases with humidifiers are a good help. Remember to keep the humidifier working.
